Creative Journals:
Imagine your name and identity has been taken away by the government and replaced with a number. You are removed from your home and family and assigned a job, which you may or may not find fulfilling. You are told you can only interact with those that share your job and instructed to give up all things and ideas that make you unique. You will write a series of journal entries that explore what happens when individuality is replaced with commonality. Each entry must be at least one page long, you are welcome to write more. You can neatly write your journal entries or you can type -your choice - but upon completion, you must create a cover for your journal that reflects the content and your experience. Be creative - you can use any means necessary to create your cover, it can be drawn, clipped from magazines, etc..., created on any number of digital design programs, anything. Be creative, and have some fun!
You can turn in a hardcopy of your journal or if you wish, you can submit digitally via Edmodo.
Answer all of the following prompts:
1. It has been one week since your identity was removed, what do you miss most about your old life? Describe your daily routine of your new life.
2. It is week two of your new life. You have been forbidden to use the word 'I' in either speech or writing. How does this affect you?
3. It is week three of your new life. You witness a cruel or unfair action at your work site. Describe the incident. How does it make you feel?
4. You are planning on escaping. How will you plan so that you do not get caught? Will you take anyone with you? Where are you planning on going?
5. Describe your escape. Are you successful? Did you get caught? Describe your experience.

Digital Media Project:
You will be working in groups to create an Emaze presentation on a topic that I will assign you. Each group will have a different topic.
Emaze is easy and fun to use. It is a digital presentation platform similar to prezi. You will need to create an account with an email address and password. Please choose a password that you will not easily forget. Choose the free option, the only limitations you find on the free setting is the ability to download your presentations. There are plenty of presentation templates to choose from in the free mode.
Topics will be chosen randomly, each group will have a different subject. Your final project will be due on your final exam day: TBD. You will need to upload your presentation to Edmodo by the end of the class period on TBD. Your final exam will be a gallery walk style presentation. You will have plenty of time to work on this project in class.
